Melrose Rotary adopt the planted areas at Tweedbank Station

Members of Melrose Rotary with Russell Storrie at Tweedbank Station

As a service to the community the Rotary Club of Melrose have been in discussion with Scot Rail, and as a result this week agreed to take on responsibility for the care and maintenance of the planted areas outside of Tweedbank Station.  It is very important to the local area, and to Scot Rail, that travellers are presented with a clean, tidy and cheerful welcome when they arrive at Tweedbank and Melrose Rotary plan to ensure that this is provided.  Anyone, with or without green fingers, would be welcome to assist with this task, and of course we look to all users of the station to keep the area clear of litter.  Anyone wishing to help can obtain more details and contact Melrose Rotary at WWW.melroserotary.org.uk, or come to any of our meetings at The Kings Arms Melrose any Thursday evening from 6.00pm.
